And how befitting that bossbabe founder Jess Ekstrom got her inspiration from the most magical place on earth--Disney World of course.
When she was there on a photography internship, she photographed kids with life-threatening illnesses who wanted to visit Disney World as their main wish from wish-granting organizations.
Jess noticed a lot of the kids were wearing headbands after losing their hair to chemotherapy. She felt a spark to do something to help them feel confident and beautiful during such a tough time. To fulfill this need, she created Headbands of Hope during her junior year of college at North Carolina State University.
